《双截龙》格斗版中的剧情其实是来自美版授权的真人电影中，人物之间的关系没有什么变化，但是其中的故事内容和我们熟悉的《双截龙》三部曲不大一样。在《双截龙》三部曲中，无论是好人还是坏人，到了这款格斗游戏中就都成为了主角了。
虽然比利和吉米拥有主角光环，而且还可以变身。不过其他人物的能力也都差不多，游戏的平衡性做得还是不错的。甚至曾经的大反派阿波波和卜洛夫的超必杀，就算是主角也不能抵挡。

The man disappears into the distance as the light fades.

当光线渐暗时，这个男人消失在远处。（结局画面中出现的大腿，是《超人学院刚帝王》中的纱亚）
